“The Lock-down” Team “Sadhana” released their first inspirational video titled “Lock-down” based on a motivational poem written by Irish priest Brother Richard Hendrick in 2020. This includes re-creation of audio with poem recitation and singing by multi-cultural human population around the world, Creation of original visual arts, thematic & storytelling Dance moves all done in isolation during a challenging quarantine time period. |
“I can't breathe”
In this video mix of Bharatantyam and contemporary dance and music collage we wanted to portray that long history of movement against police brutality.
It is a collaboration between Seattle-based Indian Classical dancer Piyali Biswas and Boston-based black ballerina/contemporary dancer Jasmine Forrest. |
